BEGINNINGS
Descended from generations of fishermen, and heir to a centuries-old tradition of maritime adventure, Sergio Medeiros first learned to build boats in his native Portugal. Through the years, the philosophy that would later distinguish Limestone by Medeiros was forged with Old-world tools; craftsmanship and pride.

Inspired by this legacy, the next generation of Medeiros' continue to advance the craft of fine boat building.

THE NEW WORLD
In 1985 the Medeiros family embarked on a project to build a powerboat without peer. Naturally they chose Canada's foremost naval architect, Mark Ellis, to design the new craft. Originally, the boat was named after the family. Later, the name was changed to reflect the rugged beauty of the Limestone Islands of Ontario's Georgian Bay.

The result of this collaboration was an instant success. Crafted on classic lines, beautifully hand-built and finished, Limestones have been sought by discerning boaters ever since. And to preserve their distinctiveness, every Limestone is built exclusively to customer order. Each vessel is the product of many skilled hands, and a singular conviction for building boats of the highest quality.

FUNCTION AND FORM
A Limestone is intended for a purist, one who appreciates understated elegance. It is form following function. This is a boater's boat, luring the eye with the classic simplicity of her design.

SEAWORTHINESS & SAFETY
The forgiving ride of a Limestone provides an unmatched assurance of safety. A Limestone will cut through a nasty chop, glide across still water, or meet a heavy swell head-on. The generous forward flair of the hull ensures that spray and waves return to the sea, where they belong. A testament to their excellence, Limestones have been selected by The Royal Canadian Mounted Police, The Ontario Provincial Police, Metro Toronto Police, the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and the Canadian Coast Guard. The renowned safety of the Limestone must be her most endearing quality. Few feelings are as comforting as setting out on open water in a Limestone, knowing that the brawny deep-V hull will slice through the heavy seas that leave lesser boats stranded at the dock.

CONSTRUCTION
Limestone construction is as uncompromising as the design. All equipment and construction meets U.S. and Canadian Coast Guard standards. The hull and deck benefit from alternate layers of hand laid fiberglass and are hand-sealed and fastened together using stainless steel hardware. All deck hardware is aluminum-backed, and glassed into the deck.

Easily cleaned, maintained and piloted, Limestones place a premium on practicality. The cockpit is large, selfbailing and deep, it also protects occupants from the elements. Wherever possible cockpit openings have been insulated to reduce engine noise. For ease of movement, decks are generous, uncluttered and have a molded-in non-skid finish. Storage is plentiful and easily accessible.Stubbornly resilient, every craft is built and finished to withstand years of rigorous use without deterioration.

DESIGN
Perhaps ironically, Limestones by Medeiros poss the same strengths relied upon by the legendary Portuguese explorers who launched the Great Age of Exploration; durability, ruggedness and exceptional seaworthiness. Centuries ago these qualities allowed sailors to boldly venture in uncharted waters. Now they give recreational and working mariners the ability to safely go wherever they wish - with passengers and with cargo. And always with pride.

The deep-V design and exceptional stability reveal the Limestone's indifference to heavy weather. Together, this allows the boat to plane swiftly and to maintain that plane even at low speeds... a soft, dry ride in any sea.
